Silverado is a legendary name among American-made trucks. Traditionally, the Silverado name has been applied to the majority of full-sized trucks manufactured by Chevrolet, whether they’re light-duty or heavy-duty. The latest lineup includes half-ton, three-quarter ton, and one-ton Silverado models. These are designated as the Silverado 1500, 2500HD, and 3500HD, respectively. The exciting new Silverado EV, an all-electric truck, is also set to debut in 2024. If you’re hunting for a powerful and reliable new truck in Harrison, MI, keep reading for a brief overview of what the 2024 Silverado lineup has to offer.

SILVERADO 1500

This full-sized, half-ton pickup truck is the flagship model in Chevy’s lineup. If you’re looking for a solid truck in Midland, MI that’s perfect for work, or as a comfortable daily driver, this is it. The 2024 Silverado 1500 has a possible maximum towing capacity of 13,300 pounds. With the right model and equipment, it can also haul a load of 2,260 pounds in the truck bed. The standard TurboMax Engine produces 310 horsepower with 430 pound-feet of torque. Chevy also offers a V8 engine that produces 355 horsepower, a bigger 6.2-liter V8 engine that makes 420 horsepower, and a Duramax Turbo-Diesel.

SILVERADO 2500HD

The HD stands for heavy-duty, and this immediately lets you know what this model is all about. The 2500HD still has many of the same convenience, tech, and safety features as its 1500 counterparts. It can be had with an upscale, cozy interior filled with a number of modern amenities. The main difference here is in the powerful capabilities of this truck. These beasts can pull up to 22,500 pounds and haul a load of up to 4,103 pounds, with the right powertrain, body style, and equipment choices. The 2500HD has a maximum possible torque rating of 975 pound-feet of torque. To get the maximum amount of torque, you’ll need to select the 6.6-liter Turbo-Diesel V8 as your powertrain choice.

SILVERADO 3500HD

If you’re looking for something that’s a pure workhorse in Houghton Lake, the 3500HD is your truck. These models were designed for the toughest of jobs. With the right setup, you can haul a load of up to 7,234 pounds in this truck. With the right equipment, the 2024 Chevy Silverado 3500HD can also tow up to 36,000 pounds. Those numbers are astounding and let you know that no matter what the job is, this model of the Silverado can handle it. The Silverado 3500HD also offers impressive off-road capabilities. If you need to get to a remote worksite or load up cargo in the middle of nowhere, the Silverado 3500HD has you covered. These models come equipped with either a 6.6-liter V8 that makes 401 horsepower, or a 6.6-liter Turbo-Diesel V8 that produces 470 horsepower and a whopping 975 pound-feet of torque.

WHAT’S NEW FOR 2024?

The Chevy Silverado HD models received a makeover for 2024. The exterior and interior designs have both been updated. The headlamps, front bumper, and grille all have a more modern design for these models. The High Country trim level now comes in a special package called the Midnight Edition. This package includes several cosmetic flourishes, such as blacked-out and chrome trim elements. Many of the trim levels get a new, larger 13.4-inch display for the infotainment system and a 12.3-inch digital gauge display. On the inside, the center console has been redesigned, and wireless phone-charging pads have been added to select trim levels.
