AN OVERVIEW OF THE 2024 CHEVROLET EQUINOX
If you’d like to find an affordable two-row SUV with modern amenities, consider the Chevy Equinox. It’s part of our inventory at Richardson Chevrolet of Gladwin, and it’s done well in recent years, thanks to all that it has to offer.
SPACIOUS INTERIOR AND FLEXIBLE CARGO OPTIONS
The size of the Chevy Equinox makes it very attractive. It can comfortably fit five people, having 39.9 inches of second-row leg room and 40.9 inches of front-row leg room. If you have more cargo to transport around Clare and Midland, MI, rearrange things to make more space for your items. You can fold down one part of the 60/40 split bench in the back seat, or you can fold down the entire rear seatback. Folding down both sides of the seatback would increase your cargo volume from 29.9 to 63.9 cubic feet.
AVAILABLE TRIMS
LS TRIM: A STYLISH ENTRY POINT
The LS trim is the first one in the lineup at Richardson Chevrolet of Gladwin. It looks nice with its LED headlamps and 17-inch aluminum wheels. The heating elements in its side mirrors can prevent frost and ice from interfering with visibility in the winter. Inside the cabin of the LS, you’ll find a 3.5-inch digital driver information center as well as a seven-inch touchscreen. Since that touchscreen has Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™, you’ll have access to many of our apps and some information stored on your phone. Play your favorite music, check your text messages, and make phone calls through your infotainment system. Plus, SiriusXM® is included with this trim, giving you even more entertainment options to consider.
LT TRIM: ELEVATED COMFORT AND CONVENIENCE
If you’re interested in getting a few extra amenities, the LT trim might be a better choice. It treats you to a power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar control, along with heated front seats and dual-zone climate control. It can be easier to stay comfortable with all these components. While the LT has the same impressive infotainment system that the LS has, its digital driver information center has been enlarged so that it measures 4.2 inches from one corner to another. Further, Chevy upgraded the LT with a power liftgate and tinted windows, which can be very convenient.
RS TRIM: STANDOUT EXTERIOR ELEMENTS
With different exterior elements, the RS stands out from the others. It’s the only one that gets to ride on 19-inch aluminum wheels, and it showcases black accents and black bowtie emblems. At this level, roof-mounted side rails become standard, and they could come in handy if you plan on securing items to the roof of the Equinox.
PREMIER TRIM: ULTIMATE LUXURY AND TECHNOLOGY
The Premier offers the most benefits. This trim looks refined with its perforated leather seats, and it comes with a heated steering wheel and an eight-inch touchscreen. Some of its other features have to do with technology as well. It’s equipped with a wireless charging pad, a universal home remote, and a memory system for the driver’s seat and side mirrors.
PERFORMANCE AND SAFETY ACROSS TRIMS
All these new Equinox trims can be reliable and safe to drive around Harrison, MI. They run on turbocharged 1.5-liter engines that deliver 175 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. A six-speed automatic transmission does its job well, and fortunately, several advanced programs are always ready to take action whenever necessary. For example, the StabiliTrak system can work to enhance stability and traction.
Forward collision warning will alert you to potential issues, and emergency braking can engage whenever you need extra assistance. Other driver-assist technologies included in the Equinox are lane keep assist, lane departure warning, and a rear vision camera. In addition, Chevy upgraded its higher Equinox trims with blind-spot monitoring, park assist, and rear cross-traffic alert.
